FUTURE ME
I remember watching a TV program a fair few years ago in which a scientist/technician was explaining to the presenter (with the aid of a young boy) how by only taking a few photos of the child's head from different angles, their computer could calculate how he would look in twenty years. That was a few years ago, and similar technology can now be found free to use on the internet. Today if we were to watch a similar program you would find a similar member of the scientific community telling a similar presenter that now only a few bodily samples were needed to be taken to determine susceptibility to disease, probable physique etc... FUTURE ME is a speculative project that looks at our increasing perceived ability to 'see into the future'. Could parents have unique dolls made that were accurate depictions of their children as adults? Would a parent ever want to do this? Could they be the next 'must have' toy, with children saving up pocket money so they to could take part in the playground games?
